The Artist Collective is pleased to announce the launch of its Palm Beach location, featuring original works from established and emerging artists throughout Southern Florida. Katie Barbatsuly will serve as the Director for the region. Artist Collective Founder, Allison Williamson, says, “We are thrilled to expand into such a dynamic market. Katie’s extensive knowledge of art and interiors along with coast-to-coast connections in the industry make her a strong fit for our company’s culture and future vision. I’m confident that Katie will be a wonderful Director for the Palm Beach Artist Collective. We’re excited to use her talents in cultivating and representing our artists and developing sales channels, collaborations and partnerships with like-minded brands.”
A native of Garden City, New York, Katie grew up surrounded by beautiful things. She developed a well-trained eye for style tagging along to antique fairs, textile showrooms and museums with her mother, interior decorator, Betty Barbatsuly. Following her graduation from Vanderbilt University, Katie landed in San Francisco where she worked in finance for Morgan Stanley. Her career evolved to include roles with the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Carve Designs. Additionally, Katie furthered her cultural education at Sotheby’s School of Design in London, Parsons School of Design, New York and the University of California, Berkeley.
In 2008, Katie founded Moffett Home in Delray Beach, FL, offering a curated collection of furnishings, lighting, art and one-of-a-kind decorative objects. Over the next decade, she expanded Moffett Home to Quogue, NY, San Francisco and Charleston, SC honing her retail skills in buying, styling, sales and marketing. Katie is an avid traveler, having visited capital cities, small towns and exotic locations around the world.
Says Katie of her new venture, “I’ve long been an admirer of The Artist Collective’s mission to feature artists whose works represent a range of genres, as well as its local focus in giving back to the communities it serves. The Palm Beach Artist Collective brings me full circle back to Florida and allows me to continue to pursue my passion for the visual arts. I’m excited to be a part of such a vibrant business and a special network of artists from across the Southeast!”
Our mission of the Artist Collectives is to provide a platform for local artists to grow their potential and to provide collectors, young or experienced, access to original affordable art while giving back to our local non-profits and organizations.
The Palm Beach Artist Collective is a web-based business that provides an avenue for local artists to grow their potential and to provide collectors, young or experienced, access to small pieces of affordable original art. Collectives are significant to the Artists' practice by providing a vehicle for combining inspiration, ideals and approaches. Creativity loves company!
Each month the artists paint their interpretation of a theme chosen by the Collective as a whole. The "themed" paintings are then available for sale online and a percentage of each sale benefits the designated local charity. Creativity has a conscience! If you would like to nominate a charity, please email katie@palmbeachartistcollective.org
Every piece is original! The majority of our paintings are sold unframed, because we believe framing is personal. You may choose something rustic, modern, or classic. Framing your piece gives it the personality that you choose. We are happy to help you frame your piece just contact us!
Any sales within the state of FL, SC, TN and GA are subject to sales tax. All paintings are subject to a shipping and handling charge (starting at $15) based on size and weight of the work.
